Well, it's that time! Neil Young is set to release a new album, 'Le Noise', on September 28th. However thanks to the generous Neil, fans are able to preview it on NPR.com. I took the opportunity to listen to 'Le Noise' in its entirety. Good thing I did. First of all, before I go any further, I forgot to mention a major part of this album: it's Neil Young and his guitar. Nothing else. If that immediately turned you off, please continue to read! Initially, I was skeptical, but, I'm glad I gave it a chance. If you go past the music, and truly listen, you hear the beauty of Neil's lyrics, and even if you don't agree with his opinion of the 'Angry World', you will be truly mesmerized by it. I'd recommend this album to people not looking for good music, but good poetry. Overall, I'll have to give it a 4 out of 5, only because I think the guitar is kind of repetitive, but everything else is great.
